Oh what a sweet treasure a little girls "blankie" is, or as we call it, the "B". One of my bestest friends of ALL time, Kiersten made Lilly her first blankie. It was Strawberry Shortcake fabric, which soon became Lilly's FAVORITE of ALL time!!! It went EVERYWHERE she went NO MATTER WHAT! The first time it started to fall apart due to the abuse it was given, my dear Mother-in-law, Rita and I took it all apart and put it back together again. Sadly the poor "B" reached the end of the road well traveled with Ms. Lilly. Even though it was ripped wide open with the guts hanging out, she STILL HAD TO HAVE IT!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! So when Rita was here in January, we had Ms. Lilly pick out some new Strawberry Shortcake fabric online to make a new one. Grandma Caldwell (Rita) just took it all home and made it wonderful for this little girl. It's amazing the magic that comes from a little bit of fabric. The really cool thing is that not only do I (MOM) still have my "B" from the day of my birth, but Lilly will hold both of her "B's" near and dear to her heart even till she's long grown up and out of them.
