Santa came for an early visit last night...

every year the local volunteer fire station comes around the various neighborhoods and brings "the big man" along for a visit.  as they go, they off candy canes for the kids that come running out to see.  they take donations at this time, as they are all volunteers, and could use the help to provide the best safety for our community.  they lights on the truck are always on as well as the very loud sirens to make sure everyone knows they are coming down their street.  it's a lot of fun to look forward to and to see how excited the kids all get waiting for them to reach our house.
