the BLIZZARD of 2010

Did someone say "BRING ON THE SNOW!!!!"? We have been hit with OVER 30 inches of snow in our area. You have to know that this is NOT typical for our area. We are not used to the snow falls of the West, so this has put a STOP to life as we know it around here...We have been shut in our homes since Friday mid-morning and it's supposed to snow more this Tuesday and Wednesday. Church was cancelled, school was called off for Friday Thursday afternoon and it's closed at least through next Tuesday at this point. We'll have to see what comes of the next round and if we are dug out of this one first. Snow storms like this come only about every SEVEN years and it was on time this year. The weekend we moved out East we were hit with a HUGE snow storm like this and were snowed in for days...good time to get unpacked. It's been SEVEN years since then and so we were expecting this to come. I don't think you can fully appreciate the amounts of snow we have here in the pictures, but let me assure you...IT'S A TON!!! We are having fun being snowed in together with lots of food, games, movies, hot chocolate, hot showers and being together. We are very lucky as there are many without power or with loved ones snowed in away from their families...BRING ON THE SUN!!!
